We’re proud to share that in May, EQUILIBRIUM received the 2025 CLF BC Embodied Carbon Award for Large Buildings for our work on the Royal BC Museum’s Provincial Archives, Research & Collections Building, on lək̓ʷəŋən Territory, in Colwood, BC.

Led by Associate Engineer and Sustainability Lead Tom Place, our team played a key role in meeting the client’s ambitious low-carbon goals. The project—delivered in collaboration with MGA, WSP and Maple Reinders—achieved a total embodied carbon footprint of just 230 kg CO₂e/m2, representing a 35% saving below industry benchmarks.
